What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!
A mean hangover, a tiger in the bathroom, surprise tattoos upon waking up, a baby in the closet and a missing groom. As Phil Wenneck is forced to announce to the bride, Doug's bachelor party has "slightly fallen off the rails." After a drunken night, the memory of Phil and his two sidekicks are a bit fuzzy. Where does the arm injury come from? What's with the tiger in the bathroom? And above all: where is Doug? It's a few hours before the wedding ceremony and the main guy has disappeared. His "bros," Phil, Stu and Alan, will have to put their wits together to find him. But the mission won't be easy for this group of pals, nice guys but basically clueless! They'll each have to face their fears and doubts to overcome this challenge. Las Vegas and Lyon bands of buddies have stuff in common. The uptight one, the crazy or the reasonable one… which one are you?
The Groom's Bros:
Stu Price (Ed Helms): the-uptight-but-a-lightweight-with-alcohol-dude
Profession: Dentist
Stu, in theory, is the most reliable of the group. It's him who gets the keys to the precious Mercedes-Benz of Doug's father, an ultimate vote of confidence. Stu is crazy in love with his girlfriend Melissa, and preparing to propose. But after a few drinks, uptight Stu quickly becomes uncontrollable!
Alan Garner (Zach Galifianakis): the clinically insane one
Profession: "Doug's bro in-law"
In a gang of buddies, there's always the weird dude or the one who's completely nuts, determined to make each evening an Event. For the groom, Doug, no need to look further, the crackpot is his own brother in-law, Alan. Never short of ideas (and illicit substances) to drag his friends into debauchery, Alan will also do anything to save his buddy.
Phil Wenneck (Bradley Cooper): the diplomat
Profession: professor
Required for his job, Phil excels in the art of diplomacy. It's Phil who works up the courage to announce to Tracy, the bride, that Doug has disappeared. All filled with euphemisms and understatements! Phil is sorta the friend who settles conflicts, who puts your mind at ease and especially keeps a cool head. In short, he's the essential buddy who gets you out of the worst situations.
The Hangover is one of four films chosen for the "Band of Buddies Night" held this Saturday at the Halle Tony Garnier. After trembling with fear at last year's edition, the Lumière festival invites you back for another sleepless night, but this time, don't panic: there's no Alien in sight, no fierce killer or zombie… Saturday, it's all about buddies - and their ton of alcohol, a fondue to get warm and a little boat ride... A good reason to come for a few hilarious hours and also feel reassured, just a few hours before the festival ends.
