An Olympique Lyonnais schoolbag, boxes of candy and favorite loveys: Metro line B had never seen so many mini-moviegoers! By bike, on foot or with public transportation, all roads led to the Halle Tony Garnier on Wednesday afternoon.

With their families or activity centers, the kids of Lyon came out in droves for the annual kids screening of the Lumière festival. On the program: screening of the movie The Iron Giant by Brad Bird, followed by a snack. Among the first to arrive, Kaouthar Jabou and her daughters, Lamis, 10, Louna, 5 and Rania, 3: "I took a day off for this screening - the children enjoy coming here so much." A faithful fan of the Institut Lumière, the family is looking forward to the adventures of the young Hogarth and his friend the Iron Giant. "I loved the trailer!" exclaimed Lamis. Fan of The BFG by Steven Spielberg, Joseph Dugrand, age 6, with a bag of candy in his hand, was attending his first screening of the Lumière festival.

A few minutes before the movie, several kids chatted and exchanged smiles with Clarisse, 19, hospitalized at the Institute of Hematology and Pediatric Oncology. It was a spirit of sharing made possible by the presence of Beam, the virtual robot.
To get ready, the little moviegoers belted out the inevitable "Let it Go," before discovering the trailer of the animated film, Storks. Enough to forget about homework on Thursday.
